Auto Insurance Fraud: A $2 billion problem

About $2 billion a year. That’s the estimated cost of auto insurance fraud in Canada annually.

Auto insurance fraud is a serious problem in Canada – it costs honest customers between $100 and $150 in additional premiums each year.

Our Morison Insurance and Tri-County Insurance (our partner brokerage in Simcoe, Waterford and Port Dover) teams know first-hand how fraud can impact on your insurance rates. We are glad to do whatever we can to stamp out this illegal and expensive reality.

A big thank you to Aviva for investigating this BIG problem in Ontario and all of Canada.

Here is the Aviva press release on its investigation.
