Morison Insurance is currently seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to join our team of insurance professionals as an Account Manager in the Mid-Market Division of our Commercial Lines department.

Job Type?

Full-time, Permanent Salary Position (Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm - 35 Hours per week).

What Will You Do?

The successful candidate will support our growing Commercial Lines department by completing the following tasks:

  • Maintain an assigned book of small commercial, farm, and mid-market commercial client accounts, which includes:
    • Assisting clients with their day-to-day inquiries
    • Providing beneficial insurance coverage, billing, and claims recommendations
    • Coordinating insurance policy renewals and/or remarketing as required
  • Write new business opportunities through referral by our digital sales team.
  • Develop and expand your commercial insurance knowledge
  • Interpret insurance coverages/wordings to evaluate competing commercial insurance quotes and policies.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Requirements of this position:

  • Registered Insurance Broker License (RIBO)
  • (3) years Commercial Property & Casualty, Commercial Auto, or Farm Insurance education and/or experience
  • Solid understanding of various commercial insurance markets and their underwriting rules
  • Willing to obtain Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational abilities

Additional Assets:

  • College insurance diploma or an undergraduate degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience using Applied Epic, Compu-Quote, and various insurance company portals
